Ceramic Cup & Saucer

Ceramic Cup & Saucer

The cup and saucer are fired at 1300°C through a traditional reduction firing process. In the heat of the kiln, fire meets clay and the minerals within the glaze, giving rise to unpredictable shifts of color across the surface, with a gentle blue-green glow.

The winding curves are shaped by hand, one piece at a time. Every change in pressure leaves its own trace, giving each piece curves and layers that can feel bold at times and gentle at others. That small touch of red on the cup is also added by hand, one final mark left by the artisan.

Make yourself a cup of chamomile tea, add a slice of lemon, and leave the cup quietly in a corner of your table. Let your thoughts wander as your fingers slowly follow the curves of the cup and saucer. Feel the smooth surface beneath your hand, even the slightest tickle. Perhaps this is the best way to get acquainted with them.

My Sekimori

My Sekimori

For centuries, Sekimori stones (Sekimori-ishi) have appeared in Japanese gardens as subtle markers, gently suggesting that visitors should not go beyond a certain point. Without signs or spoken words, they express an intention through what remains unspoken, protecting the tranquility of a space and the quietness within.

Traditional Sekimori stones are often chosen for their understated shapes and colors.
My Sekimori is guided by another idea:
The journey of finding what is meant to find you.

Every natural stone selected by ORIMODO is different in color, shape, weight, and pattern.
Shaped by years of flowing water and mineral transformation, each stone reveals a unique surface, with a subtle luster like Eastern ceramic glaze.

Following traditional hand-weaving methods, our artisans bind each stone with sisal rope, studying its individual character and allowing the stone and the weaving to find their own subtle balance and become one.

Every My Sekimori will arrive as a quiet coincidence.
You will not know which My Sekimori will find its way to you.
Perhaps it was not chosen by you.
Perhaps, through a coincidence somewhere in the universe, it chose you instead.

When it arrives in your home, it quietly guards your own unspoken boundary.
Quietly loyal.
Quietly precious.

My Sekimori can be displayed together with other pieces from the collection, on a desk, in an entryway, on a bookshelf, or in a meditation space.

Care & Notes

The images shown on this page represent only a selection of My Sekimori pieces and are for reference only.
For this release, 163 My Sekimori have been created. Each piece varies in color, weight, shape, and pattern, and one will be randomly selected for you.
As each stone is naturally formed and unique, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges based on personal preferences regarding color, shape, or pattern, unless the product arrives damaged or has a quality issue.
Over time, the sisal weaving may naturally change, including subtle shifts in color, softness, or flexibility. These changes are part of the story created between natural materials and their owner.
Due to the weight of this piece, please handle it with care. When moving My Sekimori, always support the stone body with both hands. Do not lift or carry it by the woven section alone.
We make every effort to present the actual appearance of each piece as accurately as possible. However, differences in photography, lighting, and screen settings may cause the color or appearance of the piece you receive to vary slightly from the images shown on our website. The actual piece you receive is the ultimate reference.

Beeswax Candles & Brass Holder

Beeswax Candles & Brass Holder

Flowers from wildflower fields carry nature’s gift,
giving beeswax its own quiet delicacy and warmth.
Each candle is handmade, with no unnecessary fragrance added.

The curved cotton wicks connect the two beeswax candles,
as if they were holding hands.
Perhaps you could hang them on the bedroom wall instead,
and move them around from time to time.

Or place them on the brass holder, resting quietly on the cloth.
They look beautiful even when they are not burning.

Light one, and feel the soft warmth of natural beeswax.
As the candle melts, the wax slowly gathers around the brass holder,
cooling into a strange and lovely shape.
